Group members Aubrey Johnson and Henry Zant collaborated on "Pickup," "Me and My Love," and "I Don't Want to Play Around." Atlantic did the album a disservice by only rolling out one single before flinging a second album out. However, the group's revolving-door membership may have been the underlying reason. Ace Spectrum's -- whose personnel changed every album -- signature was variety; they employed multiple leads, which kept listening interesting.
