One decade! It's been ten years since the man known and loved as Ruede Hagelstein first appeared on Upon.You Records, back then responsible for the third release on our young label, and after all this years we're more than happy that he has not only become a close friend but also a longterm staple in our roster. With the three tracks on his new musical outing „Deepflight“ we see Ruede Hagelstein prove once again why he is still on top of his game and not about to slow down any time soon. Opening with „Alvin“ we see a hypnotic, fever'ish sonic scenario unfold with an intro sequence that caters nothing but deep pumping drums and drifting white noise reminiscent of lonely desert winds before abstract, scientific bleeps, a rolling bassline and a hefty signal slowly transform the tune into a massive, yet stripped down piece of peak time Techno. Following up is „Trieste“, in which Ruede Hagelstein follows a quite similar path – translating the literal heat of of the night into a seductive mixture of decently shifting bass works and a selected array of technoid elements for all those DJ's who like to work heaving club crowds with slow build-ups and – in this case – epic, yet masterfully crafted breakdowns and melodic stab sequence emerging late throughout the tunes course. Furthermore „Mir PM“ explores musical realms beyond the regular dancefloor, weighing in an Intelligent Techno-resembling fusion of Electro and Deep Listening Electronica Phonk with a minimalist approach, klaxon-like bass synths and ethereal, spaced out melodies for advanced afterhours and dedicated underground connaisseurs.
