Equinox, Pt. 11 Official Compilation
From the sacred valley of Deerfields, deep in the Appalachian Mountains, comes the new compilation from Pure Perception Records featuring music from T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi's 11th annual Equinox Festival. This is homegrown psychedelic music at its finest, a representation of the Southeast trance family. The album begins with Mister Chill'R's downtempo orchestral piece, complete with a groovin' rhythm and soft uplifting melody. Twin Shape continues the chill with Vocal Dub, a bass heavy dubtrip that will get any chillfloor moving. Kri cranks it up with his morning trance remix of the Astrix track Type1, and Annunaki returns From Nibiru with a 2014 Remix of intense, acidic neo-goa sounds. Next up, Kri takes us back with Blue Nights, an acid techno blast from the past. Planewalker wobbles in with a progressive bass kick and funk that will have the trancers kicking up dust. Intrinsic brings the psybreaks, electrifying the air with sonic squeegy sparkles. Kameleon's dark progressive Dwelling is a fury of tribal beats and forest sounds. Antandra's Devi Garden is blooming with bass and slows things down with a dubbed templestep banger. The vibe is maintained with Herbivore's dub flavor with his remix of Annunaki - Waiting for the End, a chillstep journey through ambiance. Chaos Control steps it up with some rapid fire dub bubbles and The Fuzz brings the compilation to a close with a menacing downtempo stomper that will creep up on you. This selection of music is a showcase of the variety of sounds heard echoing between the trees on the dark nights of late September as a host of ritual participants embrace the Equinox.
