This 26-year-old songstress has a colorful past of breaking the rules. In 2013, after being forced to fit the Top 40 pop star mold, SUZY passed on a major label deal and chose to record independently. With sights set on the stars, many suspected that this surfer girl had taken one too many “wipe-outs.” But kindred spirit and pop mastermind Bleu McAuley (Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez) understood exactly….So together they set out to create a sound rooted in truth and authenticity. Now in 2015, after years of creative introspection, SUZY is unveiling the debut release of SUZY & THE LIFEGUARD. So, who then is “The Lifeguard?” Growing up while traveling the world surfing, rebellion and adventure have never been unknown to this Florida native....In fact, neither has finding trouble. With her unyielding curiosity and knack for mischief, SUZY more often than not finds herself in sticky situations. Forced to keep her head above water, SUZY has learned to garner all of her quick wit and self-reliance, making her into the unstoppable artist she is today. Not surprisingly, SUZY is a futurist and activist contributing to alternative learning methods for children (Surfer’s Healing, Montessori Foundation). In addition, she is an avid manatee enthusiast who supports nonprofits aiding ocean relief efforts (Mote Marine, Plastic Free Shop). Not only a BerkleeMusic graduate, she currently is a student at the world famous GROUNDLINGS School of Improv in Los Angeles. SUZY idolizes Lucille Ball and aims to positively influence others through her music and sketch comedy.
