Formed in 2014 by Devan (Rudra, Truth Be Known, Narasimha) who writes all the music along with Mike (Impiety, Absence of the Sacred, Blood Division) who writes the vocal patterns and lyrics, ABYSSAL VORTEX is a collaborative effort in producing Black Metal in the vein of Scandinavian Melodic Black Metal in the early to mid 1990's. Joined by Kathir (Rudra, The Wandering Ascetic) on bass followed by Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, Devin Townsend Band, Aborted and The Project Hate MCMXCIX), ABYSSAL VORTEX has finally unleashed their brand of black metal with their debut EP titled "Derelicts of Perdition".
