The Duchess, born, Datrice West, is a native Memphian, and started her career at the early age of nine, performing in numerous show choirs, and of course the church choir. She has also performed in stage plays and musicals with leading roles on Beale Street and The Orpheum. She has since then started writing and recording, on a quest to unveil to the world her love for music and performing. She has toured as background singer for J. Blackfoot, Archie Love, and Lacee’.
