Robert Maria Wolter
Robert M. Wolter was born on the 26th June 1981 in Lemgo by Bielefeld. His mother is half Mexican and his father German.\r He grew up in Kleve which is located in the North Rhine Area in Germany next to the Dutch border.\r Robert was brought up with music from all over the world in his very early years which was mainly supported by his parents. Especially his dad, who used to live in the United States, had a huge collection of records. Very significant for him were artists like: the Doors, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Al Green, Sade etc. But he also likes classical music.\r His desire for liberty and autonomy was big, which had also to do with his strict and authoritarian education of his father.\r It was a mixed tape from Steve Mason when Robert at the age of 16, explored his love for electric sound. Robert Maria took part in lots of events of the electric music scene, also these nonofficial ones which were located in the woods, bunkers and squatted houses in Holland. He and his school mate created the idea to build a DJ-duo. Desperately short after, his friend had a fatal accident. This dramatic blow of fate pushed his ambition to make the common dream to become a DJ come true.\r He had some gigs in Germany and the Netherlands. In 2003 he purchased the EM-1 from Korg and began to produce tracks by his own. To realize his ideas without any constrictions he completed his equipment by further HW and SW such as Cubase sx and Ableton.\r Even though Robert Maria was carried away by the enthusiasm producing self-made tracks he refrained from being a DJ himself.\r He is ever trying to combine past and present emotions in his tunes and is open-minded to new influences.\r His own style is a mixture of Techno, House and Deep-House.\r First releases through Mare Records make it now possible to offer more tracks to a broader audience
