Hasmik Hatsagortsian
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, studied at the Tchaikovsky Specialised Music School in Yerevan. In 1976 entered the Yerevan State Conservatory, piano department. From 1979 simultaneously studied at vocal department. After graduating from the conservatory worked as an accompanist at the Armenian National Opera (1981-1987). From 1987 is one of the leading soloist the Armenian National Opera. Took part in the international vocal competitions: XIV Concurso Internacional de Canto do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, 1989-Grand Prix; Bellini Competition Palermo, Italy, 1989-Second Prise; Louise Toddy Competition Cetuba, Portugal-Second Prise. Her repertoire includes parts of Mimi ("La Boheme", G. Puccini); Norma ("Norma", V. Bellini); Violetta ("La Traviata", G. Verdi); Desdemona ("Otello", G. Verdi); Paolina ("Poliutto", G. Donizetti); Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia" G. Rossini ); Anush ("Anush", A. Tigranian); Olimpia ("Arshak II", T. Chukhajian); Santuzza ("Cavalleria Rusticana", P. Mascagni).
