Born and raised in Volta Redonda, a city located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Ramon Henrique started to produce music7 in 201almost as a joke. Making music was a way to entertain his friends and make them laugh, which is how his artist name came into fruition, DJ RaMeMes (O DESTRUIDOR DO FUNK). He began to gain visibility by releasing his own productions and remixes via social media and streaming platforms and today he’s considered one of Brazil’s most innovative producers of Baile Funk, developing his own unique style and aesthetic. As a DJ, he’s known for his frenetic and energetic sets, playing at nationally and internationally renowned parties such as Mamba Negra (São Paulo), Coke Studio (Rock in Rio Festival), and Wobble (Rio de Janeiro). Today he commands his own party “Baile do RaMeMes” which unites Baile Funk and LGBTIQA+ communities, already playing 15 different cities throughout Brazil. In 2024 he embarked on his first international tour throughout Europe playing in Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and The UK. He is also part of the Producer/DJ collectives Weird Baile (alongside Mu540, VHOOR, JLZ and others) and SPEEDTEST. DJ RaMeMes (O DESTRUIDOR DO FUNK) has also shared the stage with both international and Brazilian DJs such as Sango, Mu540, Ebony, VHOOR, JLZ, Mulú, Iasmin Turbininha, MC Flavinho and others. In 2023, he was invited to produce a track for Pabllo Vittar’s album “NOITADA” and “After” co-producing / co-writing the song “Calma, Amiga” featuring Brazilian funk/pop diva, Anitta. In 2023 he also released the EP “Mais Pra Frente” with MC Myres and DJ Tonias, “Tamborzinho de Volta Redonda” with DJs Pretinho de VR, Ramom, and LC da VG, and his album “Sem Limites” via QTV, which received high praise from The Needle Drop’s Anthony Fantano. In 2024, after catching the attention from American rapper/producer JPEGMafia, DJ RaMeMes (O DESTRUIDOR DO FUNK), helped produce the track “It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot” from his latest album “I Lay Down My Life For You.”
