A word from the boss: It is while playing in Portugal that Llorca met Jepe and MrBeat aka Johnwaynes, local djs, famous there for their House tastes. The pair became friends and Jepe kept sending tracks to Llorca until he gave me one. It was "Retouch", somewhere between Carl Craig and Innervisions, with complicated beats but a strong atmosphere and melodic. Of course Llorca jump in and delivered one of his trademark remix, funky, swinging, yet buiding and driving on a dancefloor, one of his best work to date, let me say the man is on fire at this time. But that even wasn't enough for me so i asked my mate Alex Parsons in London to compliment the package with his touch and Alex has been touched on this one again. Close to his Agent Toga's work (yes it's him !), his version is a mental minimal journey through electric funk until it falls in a melodic breakdown with some laidback piano chords immediatly killed with an heavy bassline. Then finally i pushed myself to add a version, closer to a dj tool, with my usual breakdown and swinging keys. You're going to love this package of mixes ! I do. David Duriez
