With releases on Brainfeeder, Blue Note Records and the stellar ‘Between Dunes EP’ a collaboration with Joe Nora on Friends of Friends, 2021 has been nothing short of impressive for Minneapolis born, LA based producer Riley Smithson aka Shrimpnose. He preps his final release of the year, a collaboration with rapper, producer and fellow Minnesota cohort Bobby Raps entitled “Paranormal”. The massive alt-r&b/hip hop tune is an anthemic exploration of mental health and details the struggles of depression, trauma and drug addiction through a measured, introspective and honest perspective.
