Q19
The Q19 EP is a five track personification of Quinton Parsons & his music at 19. The first track, titled Q19 is a stepping, Broken Beat style which is accompanied by deep, choppy satyr chords, smooth strings & an ambient backround. The second track titled She, is quite self explanatory. Perhaps a tribute to a lost love, a broken relationship of the sort. The song is an interpretation of the moments shared with 'her', begining off where things are nice & simple, then comes that sheer excitement & which complicates into a deep, peroid of somewhat emotional bliss. The next track sees this fine EP go down the afro deep tech house lane with a track called Sundae, which was made on Sunday & contains that classic $moove in the name of all that is good(- -,)best... It is a good party starter thanks to its semi deep groove, phased chords which all inclines to some nice Cube notes giving the song a bit of jazzy touch. The fourth track on this remarkable EP is titled The Asylum & portrays the feeling that you get when completely immersed in the darker moments of the studio. An asylum that can go on for hours on end. This deep, afro tech styled track is characterized by a continues backround, awesome delayed hand claps infused with some lovely reverb & phaser effects. The Outcome is on a bit of a lighter 120bpm deep tech feel, still keeping it Smoove nonetheless. This track is as cool & calm as Quinton Parsons himself, its subtle feel & dreamy harp notes are a perfect way to round up this exceptional young man's EP.
