Clementine
Frankov, label owner of Frucht and also known as many other names and projects is somebody who has being involved in different kinds of sound approaches since the beginning, going from sound design to dub or from minimal to ambient. For this project it has always being clear that it emphasize more on the roots of modern dance music, and this release is not exception, first track "Baby K" some kind of future haunted house inception into the perfect abstract bomb for that Berliner Keta-bars after hours, the same one is remixed by Vitor Munhoz (My Favorite Robot, Konzept) who takes a different road, and far enough from the original mutates into a post-nu-disco hypnotic weapon. Second Original "Big Names" a minimal deep track with some technoid elements rocks his self up with for that peak night situation when a massive groove and some perks are needed. The deconstruction of "Big Names" goes by Geoff Bell (GER) previously working in labels like Numbolic, who take no chances and focus on the techno elements of itself, the result: a minimal techno burner. "Funk Your Deep" a mixture between what in the name is self-explained is that sexy tech-house tune (but more techno) that makes everybody dance in almost every moment, Franck Valat who need no introduction take the same track and spice it with punch and monotony at the same time and kinda in what i would like to call a post-dub-tech bomb. The last Original called "Feeling Danger" a track done together with the dub underground artist "Sadshack" is a beautiful positive tune swimming between the most duby waves, organic percussions and even some pop elements. Nit Yardman which is the new project of somebody already old in this business delivers a different version of "Feeling Danger" a more darker and industrial one. Topper (Sleep Is Commercial, Toys For Boys), and as one of our favorite producers of this last 2012 take the basic elements of "Feeling Danger" and bring it back to what we all know is the Frucht sound tradition which in 3 words i would like to say: Deep, Dark and Groovie. The full release which was recorded this last year on some of Frankov's travels through eastern Europe and Latin America melt different styles and ways into the perfect fruit for your collection.
