...like a man I met in Pedernales, Texas, at his golf course a few years ago, I decided to use a simple one-word stage name, "Charlie!", with the exclamation point added to identify my individuality as a singer/songwriter. All of my songs are true a capella songs, with specific melodies so that anyone can hear and understand the lyrics, easily learn the melodies, and increase their repertoire of songs that they like to hear and sing as they are doing anything at all...from driving, to taking a shower...hence the name of the album...the songs are naked...not hidden behind instruments. Although no instruments are necessary for absolute enjoyment of any of the songs on any of the four volumes of the album, I encourage anyone interested in recording my songs and adding whatever instrumental accompaniment they feel fits any specific song to contact me to make that happen! I came from very poor and humble beginnings, and have never had it easy in life. I am glad I have endured so much in my life...it provides a real-world reference to the value of love in all its forms...from love of the land, to romantic love, to love of friends and family, to the "catty", humorous greeting card script as shown with what is most likely the last autograph of a beautiful and innately talented movie star and sex symbol, as shown in the cover art of this CD. I hope to be successful with my music, so that I can better provide for my family, and for other people in need of love and compassion and...yes...financial help. I know how it is to be on the bottom rung...I had to climb for years, to get up to it...and now I exist on social security... I want to share the love...and I thank you for your time and interest!
