Vibraphonist Steve Shapiro's CD "VIBE OUT" captures some of his dynamic electric bands from the 1990's, that appeared at many NYC venues of the day (such as Mikell’s, Zanzibar, and Visiones). Full of original compositions, these high-quality analog recordings also spotlight Steve's early work as synthesist and arranger. Many textures are being triggered directly from the electric/midi vibes. Featured musicians are saxophonist Andy Snitzer(Paul Simon), bassist Chris Walker(Ornette Coleman), guitarist Pat Bergeson(Bill Frisell/Lyle Lovett), plus Matt King, Tom DeFaria, Patrick Zimmerli, Dave Bush, Mike Rohatyn, and vocalist Kyf Brewer.
