Someone To Love

Someone To Love

Steve Jordan's rich timbre voice, fine guitar work, optimism, warmth and lyrical persuasion have captivated the souls of his audiences. His songs are reflections on love and romance, adventure, life and the beauty of nature. It is no surprise that his acoustic contemporary folk music has been described as early Gordon Lightfoot, as he and Leo Kottke were Steve's heroes while growing up in the Midwest. After a move at nineteen years of age to Oregon and then Seattle, his musical talents soon earned him a couple of commercials that he both wrote and performed. His Song for an Ocean was selected by Seattle's then hottest radio station, KEZX, for inclusion in their album project Best of the Northwest Singer Songwriters. Soon after he played for the U.S.S. Enterprise and was asked to open for Van Morrison. In l983 he released his first album titled Directions. The Issaquah Press, in Washington State, had this to say: "Steve is ... one of the most talented musicians around and listening to him play will melt your heart." "He is a romantic who captures his feelings in his songs" and he is "an accomplished musician and songwriter." Now back to the music scene after an extended time out for family and home builder contracting, he is better than ever. After being selected as a showcased performer in the 1997 Seattle Folklife Festival, Steve currently released "Someone To Love" in July of 2005 with Smugglerrs Cove Records.
