I go by the name of Josh B, AKA “The voice you can’t ignore”, AKA Cashmere Brown. From a family with a large history of athletes and musicians, the love of writing music and playing sports came naturally. I grew up in Elizabethtown, KY with four sisters and two brothers in a single mother household. Despite a low-income standard of living, I was a happy child who focused on music and sports. I started writing music, verses, and songs around the age of twelve. I started busting out rhymes spontaneously, recorded myself on a cassette tape and often hooked up with other young rappers around the area. My voice on the microphone went from raspy and premature to a more clear, strong, and bold sounding voice. At 19, I started surrounding myself with people in my area who had knowledge and created original beats. While being supported by this group I began to focus on my lyrics. All this has lead to the creation of Zombie Life and Gimme Da Loot. I want to share my music with the world and hope they relate to the feelings and energy that I put into it. Music is my getaway avenue, my job, my love, and my WORLD.
