It Happens to Eve

It Happens to Eve

'It Happens to Eve' is the second collection of guitar instrumentals from Tom Caufield, a guitarist living and working in Los Angeles. Like his debut, 'The Slow Dance of Time,' of which RJ Lannan said, '...this is the album I've been waiting for all year...there is a level of emotional clarity in this music that is a rare find...intricately absorbing...contemporary, but with an Old World flair...Highly Recommended...;' the compositions on this album are peaceful, soft, nerve-soothing, and come from a place deep in the heart. Caufield's aim is to convey emotion as directly as possible, and to leave lots of space so that listeners can find room for themselves inside the music. Eschewing busy arrangements and speedy passages, his compositions are minimalist, sparse, very direct, and 'slow down the seemingly relentless pace of life' (Bruce Gall - One World Radio) . One of the few non-classical/non-Spanish guitar artists making instrumental guitar music on the nylon string guitar, Caufield joins Per-Olov Kindgren, Andrew York, and Steve Erquiaga in making music that has elements of classical guitar as well as folk, ambient and contemporary adult alternative to create an experience that is relaxing, yet involving. Not to be missed.
