All my songs are love songs to the Beloved; tales of dreams and awakening. Dreams because, after several years away from music, songs began to appear to me in dreams. They were a calling from a deep region of the heart. In answering that call, a fountain of music was opened, and my life was transformed. Awakening because, after many years as a seeker, I arrived. Our essence is a vital, loving intelligence that continuously changes and blossoms. The opportunity of this lifetime is to be aware of that essence, to live from there, to follow its unfolding wherever it leads. For me, now, it leads through music. Love because, in awakening to our essential nature, love is revealed. So, all my songs, whether explicitly love songs, or blues, or political rallying cries, or soaring choruses to Spirit, or humorous laments about the condition of my mind, all my songs are love songs. There is nothing else.
