Omri Lahav
Since my first piano lessons at age 3, life revolved around music. I was simply obsessed with learning all I can about it, and becoming as good as I possibly can at it. Over the years I've collected and learned to play over 30 different instruments, studied the many disciplines surrounding studio operation, and relentlessly pursued my true passion - becoming a composer for media! Today I am proud to have produced music and sound for dozens of projects, in the areas of video games, mobile apps, film, TV, web-series, theater and dance, as well as stage and chamber works, and several studio albums. I hold a specialist certificate from Berklee College of Music in general music studies (GPA: 4.0), have participated in unique film music masterclasses by Maestro Randy Edelman (2010) and Maestro Sharon Farber (2013), and studied privately with some of Israel's finest music teachers. I've won several small (yet noteworthy) honors, for which I am very grateful: - IndabaMusic.com non-English song contest (Mar. 2012) - Conceptual Music Competition #31 (Oct. 2009) - Conceptual Music Competition #27 (May 2009) - Ray of Hope (lyrics: Mr. Shimon Peres / music: Omri Lahav) selected Songweavers.com's Song of the Month (May 2008) - IndabaMusic.com love song contest (2008) - Featured artist on IndabaMusic.com (Aug. 2008) - IndabaMusic.com soloing contest (2007)
